So we met and went over from the different streets of Tiong Bahru, passing by quite a number of cafes, such as Drips Bakery Cafe, Open Door Concept, Forty hands, Two-Faced and the list goes on.But we realize that the time we got there, most of the cafes don't have any lunch menu at that time, and we wanted to have some main course to fill our hungry tummy, till we pass by The Orange Thimble which had some filling meals. So we decided to go in and have our late lunch there. The front of Orange Thimble
Some of the food that attracted us in to try
Kinda like this photo
XX
They sell chocolates which looks tempting but guess i'll try another day.
OHYA, They sell art pieces done by other people, I think they're pretty though.
Part of the menu, Their all day breakfast are usually on weekends such as the O.T breakfast that comes with eggs, sausages, bacon, sauteed mushroom, roasted tomatoes with toast for $11.5. (I think the price is kinda worth it for a cafe like this.) Then for the other items on the menu are like Shepherd’s Pie (Chicken/Beef) which cost around $9, Egg Mayo sandwich at $8.5, Miss Portobello at $7.5 and alot more.
Ordered our food and we were given this to wait for our food to be done.
Me and Liying while waiting for our food.
Liying's Beef Shepherd's Pie and Ice blended Mocha
Parrot's Chicken Stew with Fusilli and Salad
My Caramel Machiatto
My Chicken Shepherd's Pie
This is how it looked inside, so yummy!
Headed over to Tiong Bahru Bakery which was just next to it for some sweet treats.
Millefeuille Marron Cassis ( New product) - Nice but abit too sweet for me.
I forgot what this is called already, but it sure is nice.
Overall, I feel that The Orange Thimble had a great ambience to chill and catch up with friends with affordable food and drinks. Would wanna go back someday again soon and chill there. I think it's a great spot to read a book or even study there too during weekdays as there would be lesser people in the day.
Much of L♥ves,
Zhiying ♥
